Silk rug: deep cleaning and arrangement of running colors and fringes.

We are specialized in cleaning and restoring fine carpets and silk. In this case it is a Persian Ghom rug, 100% natural silk that presents what was previously a white background and now looks gray with extreme dirt, also in one of the borders there is an area with the color run by a previous poorly done wash, and finally, it has lost most of its fringe.

We proceed to carry out a deep cleaning that returns the original colors to this piece, always washing “wet” as it is done at origin, never dry, that means washing the carpet with water and product to make it cleaner. The result can be seen perfectly in the photos. Then we fixed the area with running colors that were on one of the side borders and finally we restored the fringes replacing new ones with the result that can also be seen in the photos.
