Hand tufting<\/strong> is a technique to weave carpets much faster<\/strong> since there is no knot, the carpet is not knotted, but the wool is “shot” on a tile base by an industrial device<\/strong>, in other words, wool is inserted on a base without there being a knot. This technique can be performed either by hand or without human intervention, in a fully automated way. The result is a knotless rug with a flimsier structure and therefore more exposed to degradation over time<\/strong>.
